Neon fireworks card

I have seen the SU! Too Kind stamps used as fireworks, here and here are just a few of them. So when I received my Joann's order of Hero Arts Neon stamp pads I knew exactly what my first project would be. I love how they turned out.

Here I added the SU! sentiment and surrounded it with embossing from one of their newer border embossing folders. Unfortunately what I learned the hard way is, if you want to surround your sentiment with the embossing, the wide folder partially flattens the first embossed section. I haven't come up with a work around for that.....yet. I am still playing with it.

This card I embossed with one SU! border folder and then I did the lower zig zag border with a Sizzix folder that is approximately .5 inch wide so it does not crush the first embossed section. For some silly reason my folder has the printing on the debossed side so I accidentally ran it through the wrong way, but its not terrible, just not what I was wanting. But I'm rolling with it.

These are the thoroughly awesome ink pads and the SU! Too Kind stamp set I used. Fun stuff.

Embedded embossed quilt block card with a Disney theme

I was inspired by all my Disney themed scraps to make a quick quilt block card. I adhered all my 1 inch punch squares to a scrap piece of paper and then cut it, a larger cardstock layer out of black and then two much smaller layers for my sentiment, all on my Cricut using CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. I stamped the zig zag stitch lines and then I ran the quilt block piece through the Cuttlebug with one of the new CTMH Embossing Folders. The yellow strip of paper is scored on my score board and layered onto a 4 x 5.25 inch piece of white cardstock that I scored across the top and bottom. Adhere my quilt block layers and pop up my sentiment and this simple scrap card is finished.

More water color cards

I'm still playing around with water coloring. I stamped this SU! Easter stamp and heat embossed the image. Then I used a 1 inch paint brush to pick up some ink from the lid of a few different CTMH stamp pads and then just roughly painting over the image. Free form, no stress. I did go back with a smaller detail brush and add some more shading with the inks.

All of the shaped cut outs were cut on my Cricut and the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. I created the double layers so I could have a narrow color card stock border. The top layer I ran through the Cuttlebug using various embossing folders.

If you would like to have this card topper .cut file for you own Cricut cutting projects, go ahead and leave a comment below including your email address and I will send the file out to you.

Vivid vases water color card

My attempt at water coloring. Not my first attempt but I do need more practice. I assume it would have turned out a bit smoother with water color paper, but I don't have any and was impatient to try this technique. I will do it again, this was a fun card technique to play around with.

I got the idea from this card I found on Pinterest. I also wanted to play around with a more monochromatic color scheme.

Here are the CTMH inks I used with a water color pen. Bubblegum, Baby Pink, Orchid Bouquet, Cotton Candy and Hollyhock. I squeeze the pad, while closed, to transfer some ink from the pad to the inside of the lid and then picked up the ink from the lid. I feel like that insures that I don't dilute my pad with excess water, not sure, but that's my theory.

I thought those inks went perfectly with this Bazzill Strawberry Daiquiri paper pack. I added just a touch of Stickles Star Dust to each flower also.

More polka dot cards

I'm on a roll. Making sets of cards for gifts. The design is the same as last weeks sets, just the sentiments have been changed up.

These are quick and easy to put together.

And oh so bright and pretty.

I am really loving these SU! Curvy Verses sentiments.
