FUN swap cards with MISTI

My teddy bear themed swap card for last month. Made super simple by stamping with my MISTI. I am loving this stamping tool.

I colored the bear and the balloons with SU! Blendabilities and added some ribbon and layer of black cardstock.

I decided it needed a lil something more, so I added the cute lil SU! sentiment curved around the bears ear.

Also stamped, with the MISTI, all the card backs with this long narrow stamp. Not a single rolled inky edge in the bunch. Have I said I love the MISTI? Because I do!!!

Irresistibly yours card set

I fell in love with this card design, and as you can see I CASE'd it completely. Barely changing any detail. It was so beautiful to me.

I used 8 different SU! inks and sentiment stamps. Also 8 different Blendabilities pens to color on vellum before I punched out the butterflies.

Sponging the ink onto the Irresistibly Yours papers allows me to create those lighter and darker tones from one ink color. I thought it was very water color-ish and beautifully soft.

These papers make it too easy to created beautiful pieces of art.

Here is a close up of all the lil details. The vellum butterfly colored with matching (or sometimes just coordinating) Blendabilities. The square layer is die cut using Simon Says Stamp! Stitched Squares. I used my score board to add lines on the card base around the sentiment. And finally the rhinestones. All quietly working together to create an ethereal card.

These are all of the SU! ink colors I used. So lovely!!! Now I want to create a wild and crazy group of reds, hot pinks and yellows. Quite the opposite of soft and peaceful. I'm thinking bold and in your face!!

Simple scraps card

I just love when scraps laying on my work space speak to me. Encouraging me to make something stunning. It's easy when the scraps are beautiful, as this floral scrap from Fancy Pants Burlap & Bouquets 6 x 6 paper pad is. I stamped the curvy SU! sentiment. Embossed the Very Vanilla card stock with a sweet butterfly folder. Layered it over Basic Black card stock,  adding some punched details and mini pearls and finished it off with SU! Strawberry Slush twine. Quick and simple.

My first fork bow, front and center

I made this card for a friend who loves yellow, pink and tulips. Sometime all the supplies align and it comes out great. I love this card.

My inspiration came from this card, you can see I changed it up quite a bit, but the general layout and design are the same. I even tried the technique of embossing the background and flipping the paper and double embossing so there is raised and debossed textures showing. This embossing folder wasn't the best choice, its a lot busier than the large polka dots she used on her card. But it is still a cool look.

I used this video to learn how to make the fork bow. I used SU! Seam Binding, it is soft and very flexible. I think it turned out adorable. That's why I put it right up front and center. It's like the cherry on top of the perfect sundae.

Case'd celebrate today cards

I case'd this card so completely that I decided I needed to try to switch it up just a bit.....so I used SU! Strawberry Slush ink for the second card. :)

It's hard to see in my photo, but the black background is embossed with the SU! stars embossing folder. Cute stuff.

In colors DSP cards

I made these cards up in sets of 4, using the SU! 2013-2015 In Color DSP stack, as gifts for friends and fellow stampers. This is a simple way to highlight all of the great patterns on one card, and use up scraps too. I cut the strips at .75 inches and adhered them to printer paper. Trimmed up the edges and layered onto two different layers of card stock, add a sentiment and some sequins and they are ready to gift.

Hello Life Valentines & Mini Coffee Cup Gifts

Part of my blogging laziness is that projects that are long gone and the holiday is already past, are just now being shared. Sorry, I will lump all my Valentine's projects together on this post.

I case'd this card from Pinterest, and plus'd it up just a little.

Then I swapped the colors around and did it again. I was really happy with how these turned out.

Then I also made these chocolate filled mini coffee cup gifts. I have made these before, and explained how I created my boxes there.

I added Hershey's Nuggets, Kisses and Rolo's to the inside. All decorated with a touch of adorable Valentine's paper from Doodlebug Lovebirds Value Pack I picked up for a great price from Steals.com. My new guilty pleasure. The fun thing I have learned about shopping at Steals is you can add something to your cart but you do no have to buy it right then, so later that night you like the crafty steal they put up at 8pm, you add that to your cart also, then check out (cuz I'm not sure how long they will hold it in your cart) to maximize your items per shipping cost. I have held steals in my cart for 24 hours, but haven't personally tested longer than that.

Here is the top decorated with stickers from the paper pack. I finished it off with a ribbon bow holding the box closed and added a punched tag to the tops. Sweet and simple, but oh so fun to give.

Sorry for showing Valentine's crafts when we are closer to St. Patrick's Day. Hopefully I will get my blog mojo back and be more timely sharing my creations.
