Case'd Easter butterfly cards

Once again I cased a beautiful idea I found on Pinterest. Oh thank heavens for all you very talented people who inspire me, because my brain just doesn't work that way. I can copy or case like nobodies business. I usually try to tweak a great design a bit to make it my own, but for the most part, I really need the help with a jumping off point.

This idea is gorgeous. As soon as I saw it I could puzzle through how to recreate it, although I didn't really need to because the original creator was nice enough to make a video and show her process. That's even more amazing to me. Love it.

But my brain never would have come up with this wonderful idea all on its own. So thank you again to all you wonderfully creative people for sharing your talent so generously. I really do appreciate it.

I used Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Old Olive SU! inks and card stocks and SU! Gorgeous Grunge stamps and butterfly die to recreate these beauties for myself.

Thank you sets of cards

I am so in love with the stamp set from the February 2016 SU! Paper Pumpkin kit. So simple to make beautiful cards with these stamps. So that's what I did, made tons and tons of cards. Fashioned after this beautiful creation I found on Pinterest. I added some flicks of gold Wink of Stella and a little border of coordinating card stock and finished off the set with matching decorated envelopes.

I used all 5 sentiments included in the stamp set. Actually I used every single stamp in the set. Fun!!!

The blue inks are Pool Party, Lost Lagoon and Night of Navy with Pear Pizzaz as the green on all the sets.

Just look at those sentiments. So pretty. These stamps just make it too easy.

The purple inks are Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant and Blackberry Bliss.

Hello sunshine! You make me so happy.

These pink inks are Pink Pirouette, Watermelon Wonder and Calypso Coral.

A card to celebrate an engagement

My oldest son proposed to his wonderful girlfriend. We couldn't be happier.  So excited to have her be a permanent part of our family.  I'll finally have a daughter. I made this card to give to them, to tell them just how happy we are to celebrate the beginning of a long and happy life together.

Masculine birthday card

I was looking for a clean and simple birthday card and found this wonderful design. I love playing with sponge daubers and ink to make polka dots. I loved this color combination. So I ran with it.

I added some smaller polka dots made with a pencil eraser, it has to be brand new so it has crisp edges. I wish I had taken a picture of the 3 SU! ink pads I used, because I can not tell anymore what colors they are. I think Pear Pizzaz, Mint Macaron and Lost Lagoon, but there are multiple colors on most all of the dots, all swirled together so its hard to be sure. I do know that then I stamped my sentiment in Night of Navy and added a little Wink of Stella highlights in gold and played around with the edges of the layers.

Simple but still a great masculine card, I think.

March Paper Pumpkin Alternative gift cards

I am loving these March 2016 Paper Pumpkin stamps. They are so sweet. I case'd this adorable 3x3 gift card. I first stamped these in bright spring colors, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral and Pool Party with Pear Pizzazz leaves. Love this look.

For these I'm using the about to expire SU! In Colors and I added some Gorgeous Grunge stamping in Encore Gold ink.

Then I decided to make matching envelopes, using up more expiring products, the DSP stacks.

I love these cards. They will be so cute to add to gift bags. Super quick to create but they have a big wow factor.

Disneyland 50th birthday trip pics

Since I have nothing creative to share just yet, as I have just returned from an epic 50th birthday trip with my mom, I will share some of the fun pictures from Disneyland.

Here we are sitting on the porch on Main Street. There was actually a couple of gentlemen sitting here who offered to vacate so we could snap a quick pic. One of them was wearing a button that said Porch Potato. It's a real thing there. I wish I was close enough to visit the park that often and earn the title Porch Potato.

The park is dressed up in its party finest.

Perfect ending to a perfect first day. Shared with 10,000 of our closest friends.

Beautiful Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disney California Adventure.

Cooling our heels in the lounge, waiting for our lunch reservations. By the way, every single thing about this restaurant is AMAZING!!! Ambiance, decor, cast members and the food. Oh the food!!! Such an amazing meal.

So much fun having a chat with Fifi the Photographer. Sweet, sweet lady. (Wow, I just noticed the background. No other guests. That is deceiving because the park was pretty busy.)

We Uber'd (that's a verb now, right?) from our time share right to the front doors of Disneyland Hotel. What an amazing time saving and inexpensive plan that was. It cost $6.25 plus a little tip, and saved us walking from the shuttle area, through the security check points, all the way down through Downtown Disney to the hotel on the complete opposite end. Not that I don't love walking the entire length of Downtown Disney, just not when we have reservations so I can't dawdle and shop. We enjoyed an AMAZING breakfast at Steakhouse 55. I highly recommend this restaurant. Another location that feels like an event just by the ambiance and decor. But the food was so delicious and the price shocked me at how reasonable it was. Be sure to add it to your to-do list next time you visit Disneyland. You will not be disappointed.

Back at my favorite place on the planet. Home sweet home.

Love, love, love this sweet nostalgic ride.

Good bye for now, Walt! Thanks again for a fun filled, amazing visit. I already can not wait to be back here again.
