More monogram card sets

More monogram and monochromatic note card goodness. I am a tad addicted right now. This inspiration came from stamping411.blogspot.com. I spent a bunch of time on Monday going through all of their how to posts. This one jumped out at me, I just had to try it. And being the crazed stamper that I am I thought I would try multiple colors, and if I'm going to get all the stamp pads out I might as well test out multiple background stamps.

This is a SU! background stamp and just miscellaneous paper, ink and ribbon that I could find to coordinate. It helps that I have a huge stash of all 3 of those items. Yikes!

Another SU! background stamp. I am really liking this monochromatic card scheme.

Again more stash items, nothing is from 1 single line or sold together. I just coordinated as best I could.

This is a Hero Arts cling stamp. I am a sucker for shwoopies. I love them. And I believe this is my favorite of the 4 different backgrounds.

I had a heck of time coordinating any green ribbon. This is actually Target dollar bin ribbon that says explore all over the one side. I was lucky that it was colored on the backside but had no words printed.

I believe this is an older SU! background stamp. Since I never mount my SU! stamps on wood blocks this technique is perfect for my unmounted background stamps.

And my final color coordination. I love the spring bright colors and the simplicity of these sets. I hope the recipients do also. If I come up with a new way to package them I will share that also.

Pazzles flower cards

I was instantly drawn to the simple elegant design I saw on the stamping411.blogspot.com blog post of 02-18-11 by Tiffany Bauer. Gorgeous. So I set out to recreate my own version of it. I do not have the SU! bigs die that she apparently used for the flower and my mom had just taught me a cool way to design a 5 petal flower on our Pazzle machine. So it was a no brainer. Improvisation at its finest.

I loved the idea of the embossed background paper, but I couldn't decide which one so I did 3 different ones.

And I couldn't decide which ribbon and color scheme I liked best so again I tried 3 different ones.

In the end the green one is my favorite. Between the beautiful SU! sizzix embossing folder and the gorgeous green burlap-esque ribbon from my Reasonable Ribbon club spring kit, and even the sentiment turned out to be my favorite.

I know the flower is very basic and probably a cinch for anyone to recreate on their Pazzles, none the less I have done the work and gotten the layers into a pleasing pattern and am always happy to share my files. Covered post-it notes

These are late for Valentine's day....but there is an excuse. I was looking for the gel pens that was showed on the tutorial. I bought some but they turned out to be too fat and would not fit in the slot. So I improvised and used my hubby's hack saw to cut some cute Valentine's pencils down to the right size and keep them attached to the notepad with ribbon.

Here is a close up of the cover. I used some old buttons and some ribbon roses as embellishments.

Layer is all on top of a portion of paper doily and add some polka dot paper punched with the SU! triple heart punch. Voila! A cute and useful gift, for......Valentines day or any other day. ;)

Monogram cards gift set

My boss's wife made us these delectable chocolate dipped pretzels, including the drizzled striped white chocolate over the top. Almost....I say almost too pretty to eat. But I did eat them, they were nummy. So as a small thank you for her always baking for us I thought I would make a monogram card set for her. I sure hope she enjoys them.

I spied this card example last night on the Cricut message boards, here. I loved the crisp white with the striking red. I changed it only a tiny bit, why mess perfection I say.

Each card in my set is just the smallest bit different too. The border punches and the ribbon are changed up just a bit from card to card.

I decorated the envelope with the same cuttlebug embossing folder I used for the white portion of the card.

The "C" monogram is from CTMH chocolate alphabet set. The whole monogram scallop is pop dotted up for a little dimension.

I simply packaged the whole set up inside a clear envelope saved from Creative memories sticker packs. I tied it with yet another red ribbon and added a tag stamped with a little thank you sentiment. Easy peasy but I think pretty darned cute.

Pazzles treat box with belly band

Yahoo! My second design on my Pazzles Inspiration. It's the same box as the St. Patrick's box I posted yesterday. A 2.5 inch cube with cute fold up cover and belly band to hold it all closed.

Here it is with belly band removed and sides falling open.

And a view from above, holding 7 (Awesome, huh?) Ghirardelli squares. I even inked up my new SU! chocolate stamps and used my red liquid pearls on the hearts.

St. Patricks treat box with belly band

I was perusing the Cricut message boards today and saw this darling Valentine's treat box. It appeared she wasn't ready to share the file so I just set out to duplicate it. I'm not sure of her dimensions, so I just set it up for cutting from 8.5 x 11 inch cardstock. The finished size is 2.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 inches, its a cube.

This is how it looks when the belly band is removed and the sides fall out.

And the view from above, with the sides fully laid flat.

And folded back up. The gap at the top is fully closed when the belly band is slipped on.

The box holds 3 York peppermint patties and 2 Ghirardelli's squares easily.

I designed this box using George basic shapes and Mini monograms cartridges in the Cricut design studio. If you would like this file, leave me a comment on this post and I will send it on out to you. The shamrock on the front was cut from A childs year cartridge, but you could choose anything to decorate the front. Heart for Valentine's day, Bunny or egg for Easter, the possibilities are endless.

Valentine's treats and surprises

I made up a basket full of pretty Valentine's goodies to take to church with us this morning. I made some sour cream containers full of M&M's and Hershey's kisses, some butterfly wings around Tootsie pops and a few bookmarks for a non-candy selection. I used a few sheets out of a DCWV spring pack from last year.

Here are the sour cream containers. I cut all the heart layers from my Cricut using Doodlecharms cartridge.

These are the butterfly wings also created using Doodlecharms cartridge and lil circles from George basic shapes cartridge to pass the Tootsie pop stick through.

And last but not least, the book marks. The scalloped heart is from Doodlecharms, the rest of the pieces are scraps left from cutting the rest of the projects. Love that!!!!

The sour cream container labels and the butterfly wings are both fairly simple designs, but I have already got the layers right and everything test cut so if you would like these .cut file I am happy to share. Leave me a comment and I will send them right out to you.
