Washi tape cards

This card was a little fussy to complete, but it was oh so worth it.

I started with this Pinspiration. I ended up changing it by making strips of paper covered in SU! It's My Party washi tape and then punching out the balloon shapes. I pulled apart SU! thick bakers twine to use for the balloon strings. The fussy part started with laying the strings on the back side of the balloons, I then covered the string with a dimensional. Next I arranged them on the card front and pulled the string down to one spot. I tied the knot on the strings and snipped the rough edges and adhered it down with a glue dot. Finally I peeled the dimensional cover off and started adhering them to the card. Like I said fussy but worth it.

This one was a direct CASE from this bold beauty. I added a little extra embellishment with the bakers twine and the SU! white perfect accents, three of which I colored with sharpie markers. I added a mat of black card stock for a little framing. I really like the elegant simpleness of this card design.

Birthday Balloon card set

I love this new SU! Balloon Celebration stamp set and coordinating punch. I instantly started gathering inspiration on Pinterest and this card really struck me as unique and wonderful. I couldn't wait to recreate it.

And recreate it, and recreate it.....as I have a tendency to do, or over do. But than I decided it will make a perfect gift set.

So, of course if I am going to package those up to give away to someone, it makes sense to make a different but coordinating card for me to sign with my gift set. Right? This card came right out of my own brain, no copying on this one. But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I love the new SU! epoxy dots. Like REALLY love them. There are only 3 colors now, but I'm crossing my fingers for more in the upcoming new catalog. Pretty please SU! creators, make more matching epoxy dots. I promise to buy them, use them, share them in classes. How could I not? They are too cute!!!

Hugs and Kisses Card

I was inspired by this Pinterest pin to make my own version of the card. I think its a great combination of masculinity and romance. I know it's late for showing Valentine's cards but it could also be an anniversary card or an I love you all the time card. That would be sweet.

I had just recently acquired the retired SU! stamp set Happy Watercolor and it paired beautifully with January's Paper Pumpkin stamps.

The Stamps of Life Mini Flower Dies cards

These monochromatic cards were made using the fun Stamps of Life Mini Flower Dies on SU! Bermuda Bay card stock with Soft Sky peeking through from the mat. I colored rhinestones with alcohol markers in a similar blue green color and also tied Bermuda Bay thick bakers twine around. Adding a simple SU! sentiment in the corner.

Cute set of cards to gift to a friend. Quickly made but loaded with sweet whimsy.

The Stamps of Life Circles of Circles dies

I used the awesome Stamps Of Life Circles of Circles dies and a few different sized circle punches to create these pretty layered cards. On the yellow card I selectively lined behind the circles with SU! Crushed Curry DSP leaving some unlined so the black matting paper could show through some also. On the red card I cut a piece of SU! Cherry Cobbler polka dot paper the same size as the white layer then I matted those layers onto a SU! Crumb Cake layer. Both are tied with some coordinating ribbon and embellished with a few rhinestones.

I think these cards are fun and funky, with lots of wow without a lot of work. Perfection!!!

January's black and white theme swap cards

My swap group theme was black and white cards with one additional color. I chose SU Pool Party to go with the new glitter ribbon. The stamp is a retired hostess set and the embossing folder is also retired. I punched flowers out of card stock and after adhering them I added a rhinestone to the center.

All ready to mail off to my swap group. Black, white and Pool Party elegance. I like it.

Stampin' Up! What I Love sympathy cards

A completely different feel to these cards, compared to my first shared cards. These are also simple yet gorgeous in SU! Pool Party and Pear Pizzaz inks on the Sale-A-Bration stamp set What I Love.

Soft and soothing in these colors. Classic.
