I went to a fun stamp-a-stack class this past weekend. The friend who is solely responsible for my paper crafting fetish has resigned to be a SU! demonstrator again and is back to providing tons of fun and inspiration. Wahoo!
Check her out at thecrazystamplady.blogspot.com she has lots of great ideas to share.
First card, elegant! Love the color combination.
Here is a close up, see how much detail is retained with the iridescent ice embossing powder.
Second card, stunning! I love this card.
Third card, fantastic! The deep color offset by the bleached stamp design is super fun!
Fourth card, gorgeous! This was a new technique for me. We inked the inside of the embossing folder then ran the paper through the sizzix machine to transfer the ink and the embossing. Gorgeous!
Fifth card, beautiful! Another beautiful color combination.
A close up to see the delicate detail of the texture plate embossing on the card stock.
Thanks Tina, it was a fun time crafting and every single project amazed me! I can't wait to do it again.

Fall cards and card holder
I found this tutorial for a wonderful book style card holder the other day and was eager to give it a try. It came from justgivemestamps.typepad.com her 2-18-10 post. Now hers was made for 3 x 3 cards, I changed it up to hold 4 standard A2 sized cards and envelopes.
I used last years DCWV fall matstack, SU! craft, chocolate chip and orange card stocks to make the holder and the coordinating cards.
The stamps are CTMH D1371 Many thanks stamp set, stamped in CTMH vineyard berry, cream brulee and chocolate stamp pads. I used vineyard berry organza ribbon also.
This picture shows the Iridescent gold glimmer mist on the cover. I used it on the card fronts also. The pictures can not possibly hope to do this glimmer mist justice. Trust me its beautiful.

Halloween treat bags
I saw this adorable Halloween treat bag on one of my favorite inspiration sites mychicnscratch.com she designs the cutest lil boxes and bags for treats and gifts. LOVE IT!!
This is a close up of the cute tag I added. I used some super cute Memory box stamps for the sentiments. I used CTMH Clover meadow, Orange and Black inks and grosgrain ribbons. The hemp twine is from Beverly's in the jewelry section. I really like the softer texture, its easy to tie and flexible.
Two things I learned while making all of these is
1. to attach the decorative paper to the two outer sides after you have scored the base paper but before you have folded and taped anything and
2. to punch the holes that create the handle area before you tape the whole bag together.
When the bag is all put together there is 4 layers of paper where you need to punch a shape out for the handles. That is uber difficult. So when I do these again, I will punch through the center of the front and back sides and then punch through 1 flap and then the other as I tape them down. This will make more sense as you watch the tutorial video on the chicnscratch website.
This is the view of the side, the finished bag is 3.5 x 2 inches. Plenty big enough to stuff full of sweets.
I made a batch of these for my friends and coworkers. It was a fabulous use of all of last years DCWV & Debbie Mumm fall matstacks....cuz the new ones are out and I feel the need for more! I know, I know.....SHOCKER! I do love me some paper.

Treat boxes to complete the gift sets
I had made washer pendant necklaces last week, check post here for more details. I had coordinating cards all ready to go also, I just needed a gift bag or box. WOO HOO! I found the perfect one. I whipped up four of them to go with my necklaces and cards.
Aren't they just the cutest? The tutorial came from chicnscratch.typepad.com. I absolutely adore her youtube video tutorials. They make my scrappy life sooo easy. Below is one of the boxes/bags (...I'm not sure what to call them) opened up so you can see the velcro closure and the tissue wrapped washer necklace snuggled up inside.
They are 3 x 3 x .5 with a cute ribbon handle like a purse. Very girly, perfect for a necklace gift, I think. Here is the entire ensemble, just waiting to be given away. I left the cards blank for now so that I can personalize them for birthdays or retirements or any old thing.

Halloween book marks
I am making Halloween bookmarks for some coworkers and my boys. I had made some Valentines book marks earlier this year and had a specific request for more holiday themed ones. I'm always up for a challenge.
I used Debbie Mumm and DCWV fall matstack papers. I did a little sewing, a little heat embossing, add a little ribbon and hemp cording and punch the corners with the cute little SU! ticket corner and voila! I used CTMH stamp sets A1100 Boo-tiful, D1180 Happy Haunting & D1311 October Word Puzzle.
Here's a close up of the details.

Washer pendant necklaces and coordinating gift cards
I found this wonderful project over at apathofpaper.blogspot.com. Her most recent post about these pendants is 8-08-10 but look further back in July, she has been making dozens and dozens of these and her paper, bling and ribbon selections are just gorgeous. I also found a great tutorial at inkyscrapper.blogspot.com. I am a visual learner so this picture for every step type tutorial is perfection to me.
So, here I am wearing the pendant I have selected to keep. I may add beads later but I did not have any with large enough holes on hand, so I temporarily put them together plain.
These are the first 5 completed. They take some time, each step has to dry for a couple of hours. So I got busy with the scraps sitting on my desk and made some coordinating cards. If I give these as gifts I have card and gift ready, now I just need to create a gift box. YIPPEE!!!! My favorite thing, making boxes. ;)
This is a close up of the details on the card. The card idea came from the 2010-2011 SU! catalog on page 186. I didn't do any stamping on it yet. I can add an appropriate sentiment when the time comes to give one away.
The papers used are CTMH Silhouette creative basics paper pack. I am a sucker for shwoopy type patterns. I added a lil cranberry red for zing and some of our new pearls for bling. I really like how these turned out.

Happy everything cards gift set
This is another card gift set. It all started with scraps from a previous project sitting on my desk. Making memories Eliza paper scraps added to CTMH stamps and assorted buttons and ribbon and twine.
This is the front cover of the book style holder for the cards and decorated envelopes. I will tie a bow around it when I get ready to give it away, but I did not attach it to the book this time.
These are the stamp sets I used for the sentiment on the cover. C1308 Be true just for the word "friend", and D1307 Annotations set for the "a gift for you".
The card design came from michellewooderson.blogspot.com her 08-04-10 post. I loved the idea of using up more scraps and making something wonderful at the same time.
I used CTMH stamp sets B1306 Cottage floral and D1284 With love, and those 4 CTMH ink pads to create the floral decorations.
Here is the set all boxed up and ready to give away.

A fun SU! class Sunday
I went to a fantastic SU! class. Some of my favorite SU! consultants designed some beautiful projects. I had a great time. Check out what I made.
This adorable milk carton and crate with a tea light candle also. The glass tea light is decorated with crystal effects and glitter. So fun!
Here is another view. Check out the cute punched bats out of the new Halloween designer paper. Fantastic!
This card is so unique. It's a two step stamp set the outlines are stamped on the white paper. The solid stamp, used to fill in the outlines is stamped on organza that is taped on the back side of the white paper and then stamped over the outlines. So unique, I love it.
Hopefully this gives you an idea of the organza over the top of the card stock. Then we added some pearls.
Beautiful bright summer colors on this one.
I love this design too. Elegant.
And the final fabulous-ness, a 2 page scrapbook layout. These are 6 x 6 size but chock full of adorable details.

Best birthday ever mini book
I made this 4 x 4 mini album with pockets from a youtube video tutorial from The Paper Goddess. I love video tutorials! It makes everything so easy to recreate. This mini is for my husbands first day with his new motorcycle.
This is the cover, and notice the tops of the tags each have a circular pull tag. On these tags I stamped the year 2 0 0 7, across the front. The back side says R I D E.
This is the tags pulled up from the pockets. The tags hold a 3 x 3 inch photo on the front and back.
The inside pages could hold 3.5 x 3.5 photos or I cut my 6 x 3.5 photos in half to spread them over the two side by side pages.
Here my guys are polishing the rain drops off the new bike.
Here is my handsome hubby all decked out in his riding gear.
My husband and sons first ride around our neighborhood.
This is a picture of the bike we own and I stamped the model and make around the photo.
This is the back view of the R I D E tabs.

Pink bows and glitter brads, oh my
Aren't these fun and girly? I don't usually make such girly cards. It took me two tries to get this right. My first attempts are ok, but I can't help but notice one issue, so I had to try again. I usually tape some of the ribbon down on the front and then run the rest of the taped ribbon around the backside. But between the beautiful light weight satin ribbon and the deep embossing of the top layer, you can totally see the embossed pattern through the ribbon. A minor detail, I wont throw the cards away because of it, but I am sometimes a perfectionist so I wanted to try again and get it just right.
I copied this card design from learntostampandscrap.typepad.com her 04-24-10 post. I don't have any really good stamps for coloring, like hers. So I searched through some of my new sets that I haven't inked up yet, and made due. I like how they make the card a bit whimsical and bright. I think it would be beautiful for Easter or a spring birthday, even a baby shower.
I used a SU! border punch and embossing folder.
The flowers and lil dragon fly and bee's are all from CTMH B1345 Forever in love stamp set. I did a very elementary job of coloring the stamps in with my Copic's. I love the colors but I am such a newbie at using them to their real potential.
I glammed it up even more with a lil stickles on the flower centers. I am very happy with the finished cards, and really love Lynn's blog for tons and tons of gorgeous inspiration.
