I have been away from my blog for too long. I have another mother daughter vacation under my belt, and so I am slow to getting back to my crafty self.
Mom and I went on an Alaskan cruise, with a group of 16 other ladies, we were a Pazzles craft group on a huge cruise ship. It was amazing. We carried our Pazzles onto the cruise ship, set up in a dedicated conference room and left it up for a week. Crafting and cruising, the perfect combination.
Coming into Juneau port.
Glacier ice.
Quaint Skagway.
Epic Empress Hotel in Victoria British Columbia.
A pig roast on deck of the Norwegian Jewel. Just one of many wonderful events on board the beautiful ship.
And now onto some of the awesome craft projects created and taught by the amazing Klo Oxford from Pazzles. I learned so much this trip and created some wonderful projects.
The very first photo in this post is our Alaska word mini album. Each letter is on a different page and each page can hold at least one photo on the front and another on the back. The cruise ship silhouette is an actual outline of the Norwegian Jewel, just one of the fantastic things you can do on the Pazzles software and machine. Mine is not completely embellished yet, but I wanted to share with you still.
Here you see a mini album built on the base of a rolodex. We learned how to scan in the rolodex pages and tabs and then create our own replacements, adding decorative detail to each tab. Now I can trim down pictures to adhere to each page and have a lovely flip book to showcase some of the highlights of my last trip with mom, to the British Isles.
Here are partially finished scrapbook pages. One for each port. Isn't the totem pole cute? We cut that on our Pazzles, the entire page actually but the detail and delicateness of the totem and the Ketchikan font just amaze me. The Pazzles has thoroughly impressed me, and I'm so thankful for all I learned about it this trip.
Juneau page is waiting for a cut out of a scotty dog. Because my favorite stop on our Juneau port day was at the Red Dog Saloon. A crazy eclectic collection of stuff crammed into a sawdust covered floored saloon. Fun and silly and delicious. We enjoyed shots of "duck farts" their specialty drink, and pizza made with reindeer sausage.
Skagway is a photogenic town at the base of beautiful mountains. Old fashioned steam engines right on the main shopping street.
I need to figure out what I want to add to the Victoria page. We enjoyed the Empress Hotel inside and the outside gardens. The parliament building and the beautiful park like grounds around it and walking around the inner harbor with all the hand craft stalls and food sellers around it.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these Pazzles crafts, different from my usual cards and 3D paper crafts and occasional yarn projects.
