More stash building, scrap using cards

I have working on these cards at work during lunch breaks for about a week. I loved this card on Pinterest, and knew they would look great in my new CTMH paper pack combinations. Above is CTMH Cruisin' papers and the SU! sentiments were stamped in CTMH Twilight ink and embellished with Twilight grosgrain ribbon.

This combination is CTMH Dreamin' paper pack. The sentiments are stamped in CTMH Sahara sand and Pacifica inks. The organza ribbon is from my stash.

This beautiful paper is CTMH Sonoma paper pack. The inks used for stamping are Smokey plum and Olive. Embellished with more stash ribbon.

These are more cards I have been making at work during my lunch breaks. My friend and I were inspired by this idea found on Pinterest, we are trying to keep the design fairly simple and being able to use up scraps is an added bonus. I liked the simple design and the two rounded corners for variety.

I am using CTMH Florentine papers, Olive ink and coordinating organza ribbons.

Paper pieced bunnies

These cute bunnies were copied from a bunny I saw pinned on Pinterest. The original creator used punches to make all the shapes needed. I decided my Cricut would be just as effective, so I designed the shapes using the Design studio and George basic shapes cartridges.

I laid out the pieces just as the picture tutorial showed, but I did not use any pop dots. I didn't want a bunch of dimension. I am thinking this would be cute as a card topper, or a tag on a gift bag, or even attached directly to the gift bag front.

They have inked edges and brads for the eyes and nose. Then I doodled the eye brows and mouth on. The girl has eyelashes and a little ink for cheek blush.

Puzzle pieced card topper

I was inspired to create this card from this pin on Pinterest. I had found it a long while ago and it has been marinating there in my card inspiration board. Until I started playing around on the Cricut Design studio software using my CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and this is what I came up with.

Here is a close up because you can not see the little details, like the hearts embossed onto the hearts. ;)
They are then pop dotted off the page and the buttons have slivers of the book print run through the holes instead of thread and they are pop dotted off of the hearts. A little faux stitching just around the heart openings. The sentiment banner was given a bit of curve and curl for the illusion of movement and then pop dotted up off the page also.

Floral silhouette cards

Once again I am highly motivated by what I find on Pinterest. I saw this beautiful card made using SU! products and I just knew that I could recreate it using something similar, since I do not own that particular SU! set. So I set out to find something, and I think I found the perfect substitution. These stamps created beautiful shadowy silhouettes, I think. It's a (discontinued, I believe) CTMH set called Treasured Life.

Here I used CTMH Ocean and Archival black inks on pieces I pulled from my scrap boxes.

This is CTMH Topiary and Archival black inks on more scraps. I have my scraps sorted by color so its fairly simple to search through the box and match up a card stock and patterned paper scrap.

And finally CTMH Amethyst and Archival black inks. I added a black satin ribbon from a recent Reasonable Ribbon monthly club pack and some Want to Scrap and Queen and Co. bling to finish them off.

Heart flower card

This cute design was inspired by this card on Pinterest. Really a cute design and I was so happy to get to use more of my scraps. I made this in a few color combinations.

I designed this whole card topper on my Cricut Design studio software using the Cindy Loo cartridge. The finished card is a standard A2 sized card, which is 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

Somebody stop me. This entirely enough heart flower cards. Right? But they are so quick and easy, and fun to use up cute scraps.

Top note decorated baskets

I was inspired to create these when I saw this pin on Pinterest. I love all the SU! Top note die projects I see and am so inspired to recreate them. But the awesome thing about these three baskets is they where designed on my Cricut using Design studio. I found a shape very similar to the top note on the Martha Stewart Elegant cartridge. So I set to work copying the original designers plans, to be cut on my machine instead of manually.

The SU! Top note is approximately 4.5 x 3.5 inches. So my first basket, the largest one you see it on the left in the above photo, was made using those dimensions. It's finished dimensions is a 3.5 inch cube, I thought it was too big, so I cut the dimensions in half. Creating the baby basket on the right side. Cute for a single Easter egg or a truffle maybe. It's very cute. Then since I was already on a roll I recreated it in the middle size. Finished measurements are 2.5 inch cube. I like the two smaller ones the best.

Here is a close up of the embellishment of the largest basket. I used a variety of EK Success punches, layered and held together with brads and pop dotted off the side of the basket.

Same for the smaller two, as seen here. I used CTMH Lucy double sided patterned paper for all of these. It's a nice heavy card stock weight, so it makes a sturdy basket. I thought they are beautiful colors and patterns for Easter.

I haven't bought any Easter candies yet, for obvious reasons....I would eat them all before the month of April even gets here. So I couldn't show you these Easter baskets all decked out in chocolaty goodness. But we are crafty people, we can imagine.
