SU! open house

Saturday I went to a SU! open house. My friend Tina, from thecrazystamplady.blogspot.com and several of her upline and consultant peers held the event at a local church. We made 3 cards, enjoyed some tasty treats and perused hundreds and hundreds of card, scrapbook page and gift ideas. These ladies are amazing. Mom and I had a great time.

This card is 6.25 x 3.5 inches, so it fits in the regular letter envelopes you can find inexpensive at the Dollar tree and other stores. Love it.

Another beautiful easel card made with the breast cancer fund raiser stamp set. Very pretty.

SU! card buffet class

Last weekend I went to a SU! card class called a card buffet. It was awesome! Totally loved the set up and the designs available. My friend Tina was the consultant and card designer, she has awesome talent and an eye for making beautiful things. You can see more of her gorgeous work here.

So this first card was my favorite!!! What's better then a Disney Mickey bar card? Absolutely nothing! And the saying "If you are what you eat, eat something cute!" was the clincher. I love it.

The colors on this one are phenomenal! Absolutely love this one too.

This is yet another gorgeous design. See what I mean, she has super design powers.

This on is super unique. The belt tab pulls out of the slot and the flap opens. This card is sprayed with shimmer spray and has lots of bling.

An easel card. This one is simple but elegant. Love it.

This one has the adorable cupcake and some stickles bling. It's a gatefold card with an additional square of stamped goodness. It's a great non gender specific card.

This is the unique size that fits in the small letter envelopes. Simple and classy. Very sweet color combination.

This was a unique technique I had never tried yet. Emboss and then sponge ink over the embossing to highlight the design. Cool stuff.

The really wonderful thing about this class was we made eight cards in about 3 hours. Tina had prepped a lot and had the supplies in envelopes, we just grabbed a box that had all the supplies for one card ready to go. She also had designed, prepped and boxed up about 15 different cards for us to choose from. It was awesome! Can not wait to do it again.

Summer fun and family time have had me distracted from posting on my blog, much less from creating much of anything. So please be patient with me, I am enjoying some down time but I am certain to be back to creative crafty stuff again soon.

Flower fest cards

I copied these right out of the SU! mini catalog. I  LOVED the card immediately when I saw it.  I stamped a 8.5 x 11 sheet of white cardstock, just like a one sheet wonder, I then cut it into pieces to use on these 4 cards. I added the pink flowers on pop dots after punching them out with the coordinating SU! flower punch.

Here's a detail shot, you can see the CTMH inks (mostly retired) hydrangea, bubblegum, orange and the new color pear. I used a round sponge dauber and lightly inked the centers of all the stamped images. I added gems in the center of a few flowers for some bling.

Here is a second set stamped in CTMH tulip, creme brulee, sorbet and olive.

And the detail shot of these colors. I really like these cards. I haven't put any sentiments on them yet. I kind of feel like they are perfect as they are. So I might just wait for when I need one and add a sentiment to the inside as needed.

Pazzles Happy Birthday cards

I had a Super Pazzles Saturday! My guys had plans, so my mom and my friend Tina, from thecrazystamplady.blogspot.com came over and we played with our Pazzles. My mom showed us some cool design stuffs and just refreshed our memories on lots of tips and tricks. It was A W E S O M E!!! The card above is what I designed while she was teaching us about outlines and welding. Then I used a file I had downloaded from somewhere on the world wide web, to make the accordion rosette on the Pazzles.

The above variation of the gate fold card with the welded words is my moms idea, and its really cool. She taught us how to create our own file. (Please ignore the paper clip at the top of the card, that is simply holding the card closed so I could take a descent photo.) The butterflies are all from SU! Sizzix dies. I added some CTMH pearls and some silver thread for some antennae.

This is the other half of the folds. Pretty cool, huh?

Here is a picture of the card with a little altered sticky notes pad, I got the idea from inkingidaho.blogspot.com. There is a great picture tutorial for this sweet idea. I got my sticky note pads from the dollar bins at Target. Can't beat that!!!!

This was my last project for my Saturday. I pinned my inspiration at pinterest.com a while ago, and just got around to copying the design. I am loving Pinterest, what an awesome way to save inspirations of all kinds and not fill up your computer memory to do it. Great idea, and so fun to see what other people are finding all over the internet. Some truly talented people out there.

Floral monogram cards gift set

I made this set of cards as a gift. For this card I used this for inspiration. The design and the color combination. I added the twine to mine, it needed just a little something.

This monogram card was inspired by a beautiful card I found at thecrazystamplady.blogspot.com. I did my best to capture the feel and design of Tina's card. While adding the monogram of the girl to receive this gift set.

Another detail shot. Pretty colors, huh? These are made using CTMH tulip, creme brulee and olive inks and card stocks.

This is the portfolio type holder for the six cards and envelopes. It's tied closed with CTMH creme brulee ribbon.

Here is another detail shot showing the inside, packed full of the cards. This is my new favorite color combination. Very striking. I will be making more of these sets, I hope.

A bright scrap banner card

I was inspired to create this scrappy goodness by a pin I saw here. It's a bright happy card, I really like the Stickles and lacy edge. I wanna play around with this some more, but it's a cute first attempt though, IMHO. I hope you agree.

Ipod bag

Here is my attempt to use up some of the fabric scraps left over from my Disney inspired quilted book bag. It's an Ipod baggy. So cute. Lined with black with white polka dots and then yellow striped ribbons for the pull ties.

It's a perfect fit. Now I might need a Disney design skin for my Ipod. Oh yeah!
